How do I find the right stick for me?
If you are reading this article, it means that you are almost there! You are about to have the best stick in your hands and feel the difference.
Step 1
Choosing the right length stick it depends on a player height.
If your height is between 135cm(4'3") - 150cm(4'9"), we recommend using 34,5" sticks.
If your height is between 150cm(4'8") - 164cm(5'4"), we recommend 36,5" sticks.
If your height is between 165cm(5'4") - 188cm(6'2"), we recommend 37,5" sticks.
Once you're a bit more advanced and you've tried out different sticks you'll find your preferred length.
The most popular Senior lengths are 36,5" and 37,5".
36,5" is used by most players and a good starting point for all senior players.
37,5" is becoming more popular and has added benefits once gotten used to - longer reach in tackling and longer reach for skills.
Step 2
Choosing the right shape it’s part of the learning process.
Once you are more advanced, you will easily recognize what kind of shapes you prefer on the pitch. Knowing your experience level is a combination of your strength and for how long you’ve been playing field hockey.
To keep it simple we recommend the following:
Starter (6 years & above)
We recommend the following field hockey sticks:
Aion 10
Aion 25
Roma 40
These sticks are best way of learning with the easiest shape, most progression-friendly kids stick we’ve made.
The shape makes easy work for any position on the field. The composition gives you more playful control. With a performance-oriented molding that gives you more room to grow than you’ll get with most entry level sticks.
Intermediate (between 13 & 15 years)
If you are a Forward & Striker and your goal is scoring we recommend:
